22.06.2011 AREMSIS training courses in research methodology from qualitative and quantitative perspectives
The Graduate Summer School in Advanced Research Methods and Statistics in Social Sciences (AREMSIS) aims to provide graduate level training for MA and PhD students, and post-doc researchers in research methodology from qualitative and quantitative perspectives. Participants will be able to use actual data sets and get acquainted with softwares including AMOS, MPlus, ATLAS, SPSS, and Stata.
The program’s instruction in diverse fields and approaches of analysis aims to balance analytical theory and applications in research design, data collection and analysis from a policy-wise relevant practical perspective as well as from a conceptual theoretical perspective. Graduate students and researchers in the fields of Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, International Relations, and Economics can attend the summer school.
Prof. Ali Çarkoğlu is coordinating this Summer School and will also teach the course in Survey design & Sampling, and with L. Baruh, Content and Textual
Analysis Methods for Qualitative Data. André Krouwel & Matthew Wall will teach the course in Applications and Data Analysis with Survey Methods.
