Constanza Sanhueza-Petrarca

I studied sociology and political sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Sciences Po Lille and the Ecole de Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales.  I hold an M.A in European Studies on Society, Science and Technology from the Maastricht University and an MPhil in Sociology and Political Philosophy from the Université Paris VII. My Master thesis investigated the impact of European Union citizenship on national citizenship regimes.

I am currently working at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), and am associated with the Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Mannheim. My dissertation project focuses on the participation and representation of immigrants and citizens with immigrant background in the European Union. My main fields of interest are comparative politics, citizenship and migration studies.

During my ELECDEM research contract I spent time on secondment at CEVIPOF (Paris France), the University of Oxford (UK) and the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (Université de Montreal, Canada).
