Federico Vegetti

I started university in 2001 studying languages and literature at the University of Milan, and took the Bachelor Degree in 2005 with a thesis about Anglo-American Culture. In 2006 I began a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, at the faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Milan, and graduated with honors at the beginning of 2009. The title of my Master’s thesis was “The Dilemmas of Italian Left Voters in 2008”, and it was made with Professor Paolo Natale as supervisor and Professor Paolo Segatti as co-supervisor. The main purpose of the dissertation was to try to trace some lines to describe the Italian left electorate after the more recent changing in parties’ scenario, and to do this, some quantitatives and qualitatives techniques were used.  I am now a PhD at the Graduate School of the University of Mannheim under the supervision of Hermann Schmitt.

During my ELECDEM research contract I spent time on secondment at the Central European University (Budapest Hungary).
