Early Stage Researcher (ESR)

Zoltan Fazekas

I am a recent graduate of Central European University's Department of Political Science, where I obtained an MA in Poltical Science with focus on Electoral Politics. Before that, I've obtained an MA in European Affairs and a BA in Economics at the Faculty of European Studies, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In the meantime, I was involved in various research projects as junior researcher, and also served as teaching assistant at BBU.

Generally, my fields of interest are: electoral behavior, quantitative methods and statistics. More specifically, I am focusing on effects of previous politics-related experiences and of self-image on participatory behavior. I prefer simultaneous estimation and truly dislike heteroscedasticity.

During my ELECDEM research contract I spent time on secondment at Kieskompas (Amsterdam The Netherlands), University of Oxford (UK) and the University of Mannheim (Germany).  Since completing my research contract at the University of Vienna I have taken a position as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Political Behavior and Individual Differences: Personality Traits, Genetic Disposition and Contextual Determinants at the University of Southern Denmark, located in Odense, Denmark.
